Pores are essential for your facial skin’s health. They provide natural oil to keep your face soft and supple. However, big pores often stand in the way of having a smooth facial skin. Prominent pores and acne scars make your facial texture appear uneven and rough.
There are thousands of facial products out there that may help with pores and acne scars. Certain products that contain retinol can make pores and scars appear less prominent. The point here is that they "appear smaller," but is there anything you can do to physically make them smaller?
Thankfully, the answer is YES. There are two treatments that address both acne scars and enlarged pores - LASER and Meso Botox Treatment.*
CO2 FRACTIONAL LASER and LASER RESURFACING CARBON PEEL
With our very own uniquely formulated LASER treatment, pores and acne scars can be effectively shrunk, leaving you with a smooth and radiant looking face. *
How does it work*?
CO2 FRACTIONAL LASER is a non-invasive treatment that uses a device to deliver a LASER beam divided into thousands of microscopic treatment zones that target a fraction of the skin at a time. This effectively removes layers of skin tissues in a fractionated method, leaving the skin surrounding each column intact to aid in healing. This treatment causes skin cells over treated area to regenerate and reproduce more rapidly, therefore can effectively improve pores and acne scars.
CO2 Fractional Laser treatment helps improve pores and mild to severe deep acne scars. It also helps improve lines and wrinkles, uneven skin colour, textural irregularities, sun damaged skin and pigmentation.
LASER Resurfacing Carbon Peel involves applying a thin layer of carbon on your face before treating it with LASER. This removes a layer of dead skin from your face, unclog pores, improve fine lines and wrinkles as well as pigments.
It also stimulates and promotes healthy collagen production, which then improves the texture of pitted acne scars, and shrinks enlarged pores at the same time. Secondly, it collapses tiny, superficial blood vessels on the skin that are responsible for the reddish appearance on the area of old acne.
Our uniquely formulated CO2 FRACTIONAL LASER and LASER Resurfacing peel treatment give you improvement in both the texture and tone of your skin. This leaves you with a smooth, brightened and radiant face, and of course a heightened confidence and self-esteem.
Any downtime*?
After CO2 Fractional Laser, treated areas will be red and mildy swollen. It takes about 1 week to recover fully. It is important to follow doctor's post treatment instruction to recovery quickly. This involves using post treatment recovery cream and mask, and appropriate facial wash and products.
As for Laser Resurfacing Peel, there is no downtime. Some patients experience mild redness right after the treatment, that goes away very quickly. You can come in to have it done during lunch time and go back to work immediately looking more radiant. Your colleagues will not even notice you have had a treatment done on your face.
Is it painful?
This varies from person to person.
CO2 Fractional Laser can be uncomfortable but very tolerable. Numbing cream is applied on the treated area before treatment to minimise any discomfort.
Pain is minimal for Laser Resurfacing Peel . It feels more like a rubber band gently hitting your face. Once you are used to it, you will barely feel it.
Do i see results immediately?
Results after LASER treatment tend to be gradual and progressive, rather than immediate and dramatic. There will be noticeable improvements in acne scars, pores skin texture, pigments and wrinkles over a few sessions. Most patients report seeing visible results and looking more radiant after the first CO2 Fractional Laser treatment.*
How many sessions do I need?
This really depends on individual and the severity of facial conditions. Typically, it takes up to 5-10 sessions (1 session every month) to see optimal results. Best results can be achieved by a continuous effort of LASER treatment, giving you a longer lasting effect. *
MESO BOTOX TREATMENT
Meso Botox, or commonly known as Micro Botox , is a modified injection technique that helps shrink pores and acne scars.*
How does it work?
Tiny amount of Botox material is injected just underneath the facial skin at multiple sites using micro-injection technique, effectively tighten the skin surface, making the pores appear smaller and facial skin appear more toned. This directly targets the muscles that open up pores, causing them to shrink, leaving you a smooth clear skin.*
Painful?
Pain is really minimal. A numbing cream is applied on the injection sites before the procedure. You can barely feel the needle because it is so tiny.
Any downtime?
This may varies from person to person. The amount of material injected into the skin is really tiny that it does not leave any marks. You may experience mild redness at the injection sites that disappear very quickly.
How long does it last?
Meso Botox lasts for 3 - 4 months, after which the procedure will be repeated to maintain the effect of shrunk pores.*
Any side effects?
Unlike wrinkles treatment, Meso Botox does not affect the major facial muscles. There is no need to worry about potential facial asymmetry. In the worst case scenario, there may be some redness at the injection sites but they go away very quickly.*
The question you may want to ask is, “Which one is better? LASER or Meso Botox?”
The answer is, combine the 2! A combination of LASER treatment and Meso Botox works best in treating acne scars and enlarged pores. LASER and Meso Botox work in different ways. Combining the two, you can achieve an optimal effect of improving acne scars and pores, and at the same time treating fine lines and wrinkles and lightening facial pigmentation!*
